Hasta la vista Longhorn

Well Microsoft made it official just minutes ago, hasta la vista Longhorn name, hello Microsoft Vista Operating System.
Microsoft has a short, very edited, video on their press release page at: http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/press/2005/jul05/07-22LHMA.mspx

In the video, albeit short, they did a good job showing that the idea here is for one system to work with your desktop, laptop, tablet, cell phone and home entertainment systems at home, on the road or at the office. If they keep pushing that point you will see many more people begging for this product. I like the tag lines from the video: In a world of more to do, more to discover... the desire is clarity. Microsoft Vista... Clear...Confident...Connected. I want the new black cap!

Here is the Merriam-Webster definition of Vista:

Main Entry: vis·ta
Pronunciation: 'vis-t&
Function: noun
Etymology: Italian, sight, from visto, past participle of vedere to see, from Latin vidEre -- more at WIT
1 : a distant view through or along an avenue or opening : PROSPECT
2 : an extensive mental view (as over a stretch of time or a series of events)

I will wait to see what kind of news stories come out today on this.
